Born in Montreal in the mid-fifties, Boire never misses an opportunity to realize the challenges proposed by his imagination. As a child he drew up plans, produced layouts and built huts, shelters and forts in vacant lots near his home. His passion for art, ever growing , he studied the arts then architecture, while being involved in several projects that allowed him to put into practice theories learned in school. Boire is surprisingly versatile in his interests and moreover, in his talents. From professor of metallurgy to cabinetmaker to potter and restorer, he touches on all mediums and succeeded through them, giving free rein to his imagination.

These days, Boire offers a collection of wood carvings that give reason to Emile Zola, who wrote:" A work of art is a corner of creation seen through a temperament". Indeed, everyone will recognize in his birds, gaits, features or the air of a neighbour, cousin or friend. Works of anthropomorphic nature, it is a relationship between Quebec society, in its individual diversity and complementarity, and nature in all its purity.
